Setting: Season 2 some time, but before LAtR. AU where Biggs is still alive, Max has fallen out with Logan and Max’s inner bitch takes a break from time to time:)
Suammary: In the wake of the dissolution of her relationship with Logan and on the tails of Alec’s rejection, Max leaves Seattle in search of her family. What she finds leads her on a trail of confusion, a combination of sadness and joy, love and pain. Familial ties are renewed and friendships strengthened. A story of growth, development and discovery for all. M/A ultimately.
This story was abandoned more because of the writing style than for lack of interest in continuing the plot (though there was some of that, too.)
Sadly, I wrote mysefl into a corner as a new writer and tried to pull of a whopper in 1st person POV – from ALL characters’ points of view.
On top of that, the plot kept changing on me and being wet behind the ears as I was back then, I didn’t do the best job of keeping the changes flowing smoothely.
That said, I’m not sure if this story will ever be revived. It would require a complete change of POV writing for all of the 31 chapters (so far) and a plot overhaul – as best as could be done given all the damage I managed to inflict so far.
I would also like to cut the NC17 options completely and modify the story so it is more of a low-med PG13, rather than borderline R.
Any suggestions or offers of assistance will be greatly appreciated and quite possibly taken up. I still have things planned that could work out really well for the plot – if I could get the thing organised first!
